Warwick for Mayor

Cameron Smith

Long-time Apple Valley resident, S'Ahmisa Warwick, is officially a candidate for mayor. Ms. Warwick said that she is propelled to run for the mayor of SimCity because of what she says is government waste and loss of basic values. She said that she "seeks to bring a government by the sims and for the sims back."

Voting for the mayoral election begins in the fall of 2011 with the new mayor taking their position in 2012.

When asked about the possibility of moving to SimCity to complete her duties, Ms. Warwick declined to answer, saying "let's cross the bridge when we get to it."

New Housing

Cameron Smith
Residents will have new housing options available come this spring. The hood council has voted to release a section of homes for sale in what is deemed an "under developed" area of the hood.

The homes are each located on 1x2 lots and have three large bedrooms as well as two full baths and a half bath in the downstairs area and there's a small backyard.

"The houses are appraised at between $19,000 and $25,000 and the amount of work that needs to be done is mostly cosmetic. I encourage residents to consider these homes as opposed to a rental home in the hood." Financial Director, Bradford McMillian, said.

The homes are eligible for a $10,000 grant that residents can apply towards their mortgage payment or towards restoring the home. The grant is a free gift provided residents stay in the house for a minimum of five simyears

"I encourage residents to stop into my office to discuss options." Mr.McMillian added.

Upgrades

Cameron Smith

Residents may have noticed a few changes lately as many behind the scenes changes have been occuring. The infrastructure has been increased and upgraded for the hood and all of the appropiate files have been transfered. Traffic times have been decreased to almost nothing, however there have been reports of flickering visuals and backgrounds.

"Some of the upgrades may have been a bit too advanced for our hood, but we are working on minimizing those issues." Archives/Technology Director, Cameron Smith mentioned.

There are a few more files that need to be transfered, however the move is otherwise complete. Along with the upgrades come rumors of a nearby hood of a different dimension existing.

Art Prodigy Studies Aboard

Cameron Smith

Local art prodigy, Veronika Kent, was given the opportunity to study art in Deux-Sèvres. The young lady spent the summer studying various techniques under different artists and exploring the sights of the famed city.

"I hope to return one simday, and maybe my art will be in the musuems by then."

We expect nothing less.

  1. A new hood of a different dimension? What's all this about? Not the best timing when there's talk of war against the new dimension in Kulo Seeri, I have to say - of course, there's been talk of war against the new dimension among the Nuidya since the founders were alive.

  2. I just love that little house! Was that the one we all made over at N99 or a different one?

And wow, looks like you have quite a few new students at the primary school this year!
