Different Things, 2005, Part 2

Havar, fall, 2005
Krissy Thorn and Bill Carr are seniors, Susie MacAstral and Benjamin Endeavor are sophmores, S'Ahmisa Warwick and Verde Herendez are freshmen. Uma Birch is 25, Anthony Wren is 26.

It had been a while since Bill had saw her. The last time they had bumped into each other while shopping.

He couldn't resist kissing the soft skin of her arm and she admitted that it had been far too long since thier last encounter.

Bill quickly took care of that by leading her to the nearby hotel to reconnect.

He loved to reconnect with Uma. He couldn't decide if he liked reconnecting more with her in the hot tub,

the warm water surrounding them

as he looked into her bright brown eyes

and the steam masking thier actions in the night.

Or perhaps the elevator, how the fear of breaking the large machine

or being caught made the reconnection more thrilling.

But he had to admit, sometimes, simply waking up from a prior reconnection to see her face was thrilling enough.

He wasn't in love, well he was. He loved all his women, but he wasn't about to committ. Uma understood that.

She more than understood, she felt the same way.

"I have to focus on my art," she explained on one of the rare nights he asked her to stay the night.

"It's just for the night, I didn't ask you to move in."

"I know, but it always starts that way. One night turns into many nights, then the next thing you'll know we'll see sitting on a porch swing discussing toys for our grandchildren."

"Um, it's just woohoo, I don't think it will go that far."

"You never know. My parents were carefree and wild, until they met each other. Then daily woohoo turned into them shacking up and now they're the typical couple. You know the type, holding hands in the park and staring into each others eyes. They lost pieces of themselves and I don't want that to happen to me."

"It won't," Bill promised. He meant it.

"Where have you been all my life?" he asked the young girl walking in front of his apartment.

He liked the way she giggled as he flirted with her

and the glazed look her eyes took as he kissed up her arm.

Her name was Emma, she was a junior at Pierce University. The only daughter out of five children and her father's pride and joy since her mother passed six simyears ago.

She knew a lot about mechanics thanks to her brothers and summers spent under the hood of beat up old cars and a stint at the local railroad.

She also couldn't understand how Bill could be seriously involved with so many women. Bill knew that his reputation wasn't exactly sterling silver, but he didn't know that so many sims knew about his extracurricular activities.

Bill quickly put her mind at ease and he laid her on the ground to gaze at the stars, something that she always wanted to do.

"Do you know what that one is called?" she asked.

Bill turned his head in the direction that she pointed and he noticed the slender legs then.

"Uma," he breathed.

Emma paled and quickly sat up. "We were just looking at the stars," she stumbled to explain.

Uma wanted to laugh at the situation, but held her tongue.

"I can see that you're busy. I'll just talk to you later."

She started to walk away, but noticed the look that Bill and Emma shared. It did something to her insides and she turned on her toes and returned to the young man.

Uma grabbed him and put the biggest kiss she could on him.

She smirked at the young woman who simply stared in shock as Bill wobbled by her.

As Emma tried to squeeze by, Uma grabbed her arm.

"Just to let you know, everytime you kiss you, you'll be tasting my lips...and I don't mean the ones on my face." she tossed as she walked into the night.

That was the last time Bill had seen her. It had been four simolonic months ago and Uma said that although the woohoo was amazing, she felt herself losing pieces of her in their special relationship and she didn't like it.

Bill didn't think that losing herself in him was a bad thing, but eventually Uma stopped visiting and he always got her answering maching. How was he supposed to know that all their woohoo would leave a very permenant souvenior.

Bill still thought of Uma, but soon Emma filled his thoughts. That fall semester, they enjoyed late night dips in the apartment hot tub

and stolen kisses on the basketball court.

Sometimes he wondered aloud if he was ready for a committed relationship. Emma always smiled and said that she could change his mind. If any sim could, it would be Emma.

S'Ahmisa tried to concentrate on her term paper. Finals were approaching fast and she just couldn't get the words to flow from her brain to the computer.

Maybe it had something to do with the couple behind her.

She tried to ignore the moans of appreciatation from backrubs or whispered words of affection, but it wasn't working.

How could he have moved on so quickly? Was this Lainey always around, simply waiting for an opening?

Verde was the first to tell her of his new relationship, after she had seen him holding her hand. "You're not upset are you?"

She shook her head. She wasn't upset. She had done her fair share of kissing,

but this was different. It was a relationship.

"We should go to your room." the whispered plea tickled S'Ahmisa's ear.

"Why?"

"You know..."

S'Ahmisa could feel her face burn. She imagined Lainey looking towards her with a look of pity.

"It's ok, we're friends. She understands."

"That's what she told you?"

"Yea,"

"Verde, you don't understand women at all, do you?"

Perhaps he didn't. Verde has said that Lainey was good for him, that they agreed on the important issues.

S'Ahmisa knew what he meant. Lainey was willing to marry and have babies within the next few simyears, something that she had denied him.

She didn't regret it, but that didn't mean that it hurt any less.

PRINCEOFWARFARE06: Hey cutie.

S'Ahmisa smiled.

CURLYGURL: Hey, Rashid. How's school going?

PRINCEOFWARFARE06: Taking 2 muc time from my video games. How bout u?

CURLYGURL: Going well. Working on a term paper and just can't get the words right.

PRINCEOFWARFARE06: Yea. ttyl cutie

CURLYGURL: bye.

  1. Oh, Verde...listen to Lainey, man. Go to your room. Don't rub your new relationship in S'Ahmisa's face like that. :\

And oops...Bill's going to be a daddy? It was probably bound to happen someday.

  2. All that extracurricular activity finally caught up with Bill. He should have been more careful. I wonder when Uma is going to tell him.

  3. -Carla, I'm surprised it took this long to happen again. It's been almost four simyears since he knocked up Faith.

-Oasis Valley, she might have to say something soon. She's so huge walking around the hood. She's almost in her last trimester since she's about 4 simlonic months along with only 2 more simlonic months to go.

  4. Uh-oh, Bill. Looks like you should have been a little more careful after all that woohooing!

I agree with Carla, Verde needs to listen to Lainey and go to his room! Friends or not, it's still going to sting a little to see him moving on so quickly and seriously with someone else. :(

  5. Oh my gosh! Uma and the things she says!! Seriously, LOL.

really not too surprised on Bill becoming a Dad, it was bound to happen, even if they all used birth control. With all that woohoo the odds are against him.

  6. Wow. Uma's got a lot of nerve saying that about the lips to Emma. The first time I read it, I was like, no, she didn't.

S'Ahmisa with her chatting at the end was a really neat idea. So when do we get to meet this prince of warfare sweeping her off her feet online?

  7. -Shana, Verde can be a little dense like his brother-Rojo-sometimes. I felt bad for S'Ahmisa, she was working on her term paper and this was going on in the background. I don't think that I could have sat through that as calmly.

-Maisie, you're right about the odds stacked up against him with all the woohoo he enjoys.

-Francesca, you've actually met PrinceofWarfare akd Rashid. I added a link to S'Ahmisa's summer internship. Uma does have some nerve-she's a sassy sim.

  9. Rashid's a big video gamer (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare) and he thinks of himself as the Prince of the City since his Dad's the Mayor...lol, just a play on words...

I'm so thrilled to see how well it played into the storyline!! Oh man! How fantastic. I'm just happy Rashid and S'Ahmisa are keeping in touch!

What a trip that whole Lainey/Verde episode was going on with S'Ahmisa right there in the room! This game can be such a trip sometimes, I mean really!! That's some serious drama! LOL!

  10. -SH, I was trying to get inside Rashid's head and at the same time remember some chatting shortcuts...obviously it's been a while.
